2nd Edition is here

Howrah’s admission fair is back.

The 1st Edition filled Dumurjala Indoor Stadium in Howrah for three days and closed real admissions on the floor. The 2nd Edition runs 27, 28 and 29 November 2026 at Sarat Sadan, and it is bigger.

27, 28 and 29 November 202611 AM to 7:30 PMSarat SadanDirections

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday

27, 28 and 29 November 2026, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM daily. Timed for when families are actually deciding, not months before or after.

THE FAIR

Admission season should not cost you three weekends.

Choosing a school in Howrah usually means weeks of travelling between campuses, chasing an appointment with someone who can actually answer your questions, and comparing fee structures from memory. Howrah Admission Fair puts every option in one hall for three days. Entry is free. You speak directly to principals and admission heads, collect what you need, and compare properly.

  • Compare in one place

Fees, curricula, boards and facilities, side by side, on the same afternoon, instead of from memory three weeks apart.

  • Speak to decision makers

Principals and admission heads are on the floor, not behind an appointment system. Ask the awkward questions directly.

  • Offers only available at the fair

Application and prospectus fee waivers and on-the-spot enrolment offers. These vary by institution and are at each institution’s discretion.

  • No travelling across the district for six weekends
  • Fee structures compared honestly, side by side
  • Free counselling from advisors on the floor

THE 1ST EDITION

Five thousand people came through the doors.

Three days, 40+ schools and institutions and a hall that stayed full from open to close. This is what the 1st Edition looked like.

WHO IS ON THE FLOOR

Every kind of institution, in one hall.

Every one of these takes a stall in the same hall on the same three days, which is why a decision this big can be made in one afternoon rather than over six weekends. Each card carries the questions worth asking at that kind of stall.

  • Schools, nursery to higher secondary

Day schools, residential schools and the pre-primary wings of larger schools, across CBSE, ICSE and the state board. The largest group on the floor.

    Ask them about

Board and streams, the fee structure in full including what is not in the prospectus, transport routes, class sizes, and three years of real results.

  • Pre-schools and Montessori

For the first admission of all, where the decision is about the shape of your child’s day rather than about a syllabus.

    Ask them about

Daily timings, how many adults there are per child, how settling in is handled in the first month, meals, and what school it feeds into.

  • Coaching and competitive exams

Engineering, medical and other entrance preparation, plus subject coaching that runs alongside school rather than replacing it.

    Ask them about

Who actually teaches the batch rather than who is on the poster, batch size, the test schedule, and results quoted with the number of students behind them.

  • Computer training and IT

Programming, office and IT certification courses, and the software training that most desk work now quietly assumes you already have.

    Ask them about

Course length, whether the certificate is recognised anywhere that matters, how much machine time you actually get, and what support comes at the end.

  • Skill development and creative studios

Graphic design, video editing, animation and digital marketing, the courses that hire on a portfolio rather than a percentage. Abacus and mental arithmetic sit here too.

    Ask them about

What you have built by the end of it, whether the software taught is what people are hired on now, and whether batches run around school or a job.

  • Career and defence services guidance

Professional bodies and services representatives answering entry route questions directly. The 1st Edition brought the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Indian Air Force.

    Ask them about

Eligibility, the exam calendar, what to be studying now for an entry three years away, and the routes into the field nobody has mentioned to you yet.

These are the categories that took stalls at the 1st Edition. Planned for 75+ institutions, up from 40+ at the 1st Edition. The final list of institutions is confirmed closer to the fair.

All of it under one roof at Sarat Sadan.

Howrah Maidan, Howrah, on 27, 28 and 29 November 2026, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM daily. Entry is free once you register, one registration covers the whole family, and you can walk from a nursery to a coaching centre to a career desk in an afternoon.

WHO EXHIBITED

The institutions that took part in the 1st Edition.

Held at Dumurjala Indoor Stadium, Howrah, in November 2025.

MADE FOR HOWRAH

A fair for this side of the river.

Families in Howrah have always crossed the bridge for things like this. The whole point of this fair is that they do not have to. Every institution worth considering, in one hall, on this side of the Hooghly, for three days in admission season.

Families come from across the belt

  • Shibpur
  • Salkia
  • Bally
  • Liluah
  • Santragachi
  • Ramrajatala
  • Dasnagar
  • Belur
  • Uttarpara
  • Serampore
  • Bagnan
  • Domjur

Howrah has more than a million people and no shortage of good schools. What it did not have was one place to see them all at once.

That is the whole idea, and it is why the 1st Edition worked. Not an exhibition of brochures, a hall where principals and parents actually met.

FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS

Free entry, once you register.

Registration takes thirty seconds and your entry pass arrives on WhatsApp. One registration covers the whole family.
