Howrah Admission Fair

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Howrah Admission Fair collects through admissionfair.co.in, why we collect it, how long we keep it and who we share it with. It applies to the visitor registration form, the notify me form and the exhibitor enquiry form.

Who is responsible for your information

Howrah Admission Fair is the data fiduciary for the information collected through this site. You can reach us at info@admissionfair.co.in or on +91 98300 91962. Our administrative office is at 113, Tower Plaza Building, 53A, Surya Sen Street, Kolkata 700009.

What we collect

If you register as a visitor: your name and mobile number, which are required, and optionally your email address, your child's current class, your locality and how many people are coming with you.

If you use the notify me form: your name and mobile number only.

If you enquire about a stall: your institution name, your name, your designation, your mobile number, your email address, the type of institution you represent and any message you write.

Automatically, in every case: the campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, if any, the page you landed on, and a one way hashed form of your IP address. We keep the hash to detect duplicate and automated submissions. It cannot be turned back into your IP address.

Why we collect it

  • To send you your entry pass on WhatsApp and to admit you at the entrance.
  • To message you when the dates and venue for the upcoming edition are confirmed, and to send you updates about the fair, which is what the consent checkbox asks for.
  • To respond to a stall enquiry and to discuss stall options and pricing.
  • To understand how many people registered, from where, and which of our advertisements worked. This is reported to us in aggregate.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass your contact details to exhibiting institutions. If you give your details to an institution at their stall during the fair, that is a separate exchange between you and them, and their own privacy practices apply to it.

Consent, and how to withdraw it

We contact you on WhatsApp, SMS and email only because you ticked the consent box. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by emailing info@admissionfair.co.in. Withdrawing consent stops future messages. It does not affect messages already sent.

Where your information is stored

Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and are also forwarded by email to info@admissionfair.co.in so the team can act on them. Access is limited to the people running the fair. Exports of the registration list are protected by a password held by the organiser.

How long we keep it

We keep registration and enquiry records for up to twenty four months from the date you submit them, which covers the edition you registered for and the following one. After that they are deleted. If you ask us to delete your record sooner, we will.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4, the Meta pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking. These set cookies and similar identifiers that help us measure how many people registered and which advertisement they came from. They do not receive your name, your mobile number or your email address from this site.

You can block these through your browser settings or a content blocker. The site works normally either way.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, and withdraw your consent. Email info@admissionfair.co.in and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is intended for parents and adult students. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Where a registration mentions a child's current class, that information is provided by a parent and is used only to understand what stage families are shopping for. We do not collect a child's name, and we do not publish photographs that identify a child in close-up.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be notified to anyone who has given us their contact details.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, should go to info@admissionfair.co.in. Our other contact details are on the contact page.
